The 2025–26 Lady Cardinals put together a truly remarkable season. The 2025 calendar year was especially successful, as the team lost only three games—two of them in overtime. Their consistency, resilience, and determination set them apart from the start. Competing as a 4A school, the Lady Cardinals proved they could play with anyone, earning impressive victories over 7A, 6A, and several 5A opponents. Night after night, they rose to the challenge and exceeded expectations. The Lady Cardinals concluded their outstanding season in a hard-fought sub-regional game at Geneva. It was a memorable year defined by perseverance, growth, and unity. Through every challenge and every test, this team never backed down.
Men's Basketball St. Michael Boys Basketball wrapped up another competitive season with a 15–15 record. The Cardinals finished as runners-up in the 4A Area 1 Tournament and advanced to the state playoffs for the third time in school history. The team went on to earn a road victory over Ashford in the Sub-Regional round, advancing to just the second Regional Tournament appearance in school history. The Cardinals' postseason run came to an end in the Regional Semifinals against a talented New Brockton team.Overall, the team showed steady improvement throughout the season and played some of its best basketball when it mattered most making a strong run during tournament play. Another highlight, Cooper Helper signed to continue playing basektball in college.
Wrestling
The 2025-26 St. Michael Catholic wrestling team continued to make strides under the leadership of Coach Adam Hicks, whose dedication and commitment helped guide the Cardinals through another competitive season. One of the team’s highlights was senior Christian Roach qualifying for the AHSAA 1A-4A State Championships at 138 pounds, capping off a strong season of hard work and perseverance. Roach earned a victory at the state tournament and served as a leader for the Cardinals both on and off the mat. Also Peyton Sidwell got his 1st win at the sectionals tournament. Throughout the year, St. Michael’s wrestlers showed steady improvement, grit, and determination while gaining valuable postseason experience. With Coach Hicks at the helm and athletes like Roach leading the way, the future of Cardinal wrestling remains bright.
Bowling
St. Michael Bowling had a fun and exciting 2025-2026 season. They improved every match and really played well as a team. The boys team advanced in regional competition farther than any St. Michael Bowling team ever has. Let by a group of seniors, this team was a joy to watch.
